Coating composition is 55% aluminum in weight ratio (80% surface volume ratio), 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon. All San-gobuild® roof products are manufactured from alu-zinc steel which have shown in tests to last 6-9 times longer than ordinary galvanised steel roofing products. This is achieved by protecting the steel core with zinc, which is itself protected by an aluminium barrier. There are two kinds of stone chips in the market.
One is pre-painted stone chips; this is the use of paints to coat natural stone.

The other chip is sintered stone chips; it is the most advanced technology of the chips for stone coated roofing sheets. Sintering is the process of compacting and forming a solid mass of material by heat or pressure without melting it to the point of liquefaction.
